Use a Multichannel flow to perform one controlled channel test.

Before you begin

Set up your account, prepare a test contact with a number you control, and check your credits. You need an available SMS sender ID.
1

Create the flow

In Flows, create a Multichannel flow and give it a recognizable test name.
2

Configure the action

Add a supported SMS step, select an available sender ID, and write a short test message. The message is sent to the run’s contact phone number; the SMS step does not configure a separate recipient.
3

Save and review

Connect the intended path and save. Resolve any validation errors before testing.
4

Test the saved flow

Open Test and choose your test contact or verified number. Review the message recipient and sender. Confirm the destination and start the test.
5

Inspect the run

Check the resulting run timeline and the message on your test phone. Confirm that the intended step executed.

Expected result

Your test phone receives the configured SMS when the send succeeds. The run records the automation path.

Troubleshooting

Save changes before testing, supply all values the flow reads, and check the required channel resource and credits. Investigate the run’s failure details if the action does not complete. A test performs real channel activity and may consume credits. See build and test a flow for the complete testing process. Next: launch a campaign.
