# Send your first SMS

> Run a small saved flow against a test recipient.

Use a Multichannel flow to perform one controlled channel test.

## Before you begin

Set up your [account](https://docs.gomobile.ma/getting-started/set-up-account.md), prepare a test contact with a number you control, and check your credits. You need an available SMS sender ID.

**1. Create the flow**

In Flows, create a **Multichannel flow** and give it a recognizable test name.

**2. Configure the action**

Add a supported SMS step, select an available sender ID, and write a short test message. The message is sent to the run’s contact phone number; the SMS step does not configure a separate recipient.

**3. Save and review**

Connect the intended path and save. Resolve any validation errors before testing.

**4. Test the saved flow**

Open Test and choose your test contact or verified number. Review the message recipient and sender. Confirm the destination and start the test.

**5. Inspect the run**

Check the resulting run timeline and the message on your test phone. Confirm that the intended step executed.

## Expected result

Your test phone receives the configured SMS when the send succeeds. The run records the automation path.

## Troubleshooting

Save changes before testing, supply all values the flow reads, and check the required channel resource and credits. Investigate the run’s failure details if the action does not complete.

A test performs real channel activity and may consume credits. See [build and test a flow](https://docs.gomobile.ma/getting-started/build-first-flow.md) for the complete testing process.
